Meet Skin by Monroe
Skin by Monroe took years to make. The phone calls and emails went back and forth about every detail — whether the finish should be a shimmer or an iridescence, and the extent of either. The texture. The feel on skin. The scent went through round after round of iterations before we landed on one good enough to bathe in. When we had a version that felt right, I asked for one final round of changes.
I made it for women who don't have time to do a full face of makeup, and for women who, like me, don't know how to. The look I wanted was a non-makeup makeup look — dewy, healthy skin, the glow you can walk out the door with. Less is more.
The Dew is our first product, our favorite, and our trademark — a soft shimmer oil. The Filter, in Dove and Raven, came after, for a light, filtered wash of pigment when you want it. Luxurious. Accessible. That was the point.
